Are you taking yourself for a ride - Happiness Check!

I love to spend at least some time of day                                                                    
with my dear evenings. We walk together.                                                                                    
It is lovely.

During one of these walks an old friend                                                                                     
of mine joined us. 

During the ceremonial usual conversations,                                                           
he asked me a very striking question,                                                             
“Maruti, are people still coming to you                                                                            
for guidance and learning?”

“More than I can handle,” I replied.

“These days everything is on you-tube                                                                             
and google. People can learn everything                                                                             
sitting by their laptop. Learning has become                                                                 
teacher free,” he commented.

“Nothing can replace the reprimand of a                                                                       
living human teacher,” I joked.

He was so right. I know of so many people                                                                       
who are glued to search engines and you                                                                              
tube videos looking for core transformation.                                                                        
I guess they want to save rigor of finding the                                                                
right teacher and learning from him.  Probably                                                            
they want to save some dollars too.

No wonder people have become search engines.                                                           
They know every term out there, every definition                                                        
out there, they seem to know everything; unhappy                                                              
and miserable.

Acquaintance with information gives an illusion of                                             
transformation and is extremely dangerous.  

Most people who chose to learn from                                                                       
digital teachers get trapped.

Books, videos, internet can give you                                                              
information. If you seek transformation                                                               
without a personal teacher you are                                                                                    
taking yourself for a ride.

Remember virtual world is step farther                                                                             
from the reality but is projected otherwise.                                                             
Entering the virtual world is taking a step                                                                           
down into the inferno of illusions and hallucinations.                                                     
It may give you a kick initially but eventually is                                                         
going to kick your ass – real hard.

A personal spiritual teacher is like solid four                                                                     
walls and a roof.

Gives you space to go within…Protects you                                                                               
from winds of delusions…gives you the sight of                                                  
transcendence by carrying you on its head.

What a personal teacher can do to you is special                                                       
and that is what makes him special. Nothing else…                                                     
He is flesh and blood too….

Digital world offers great ego massage. It strengthens                                                   
ego… and people usually drown under the weight of                                                      
their egos…and suffer all the way to the bottom.
