What is the best monastery in the world?

It is very pleasant to hear rain knocking at the door, 
at midnight, after a boiling hot, dusty, humid, sultry, 
exciting day...that too after a long time. Warm tea 
with lovely rain at midnight at the rooftop of my house
 overlooking beautiful hills.

It is such a beautiful world. Everywhere... Inside the
 deep oceans, on the surfaces of earth, moons, stars, 
suns, up beyond the skies...And people are looking for 
monasteries to meditate for Enlightenment. I wonder.


This world, cosmos, is a great, grand monastery. And
 all of us who have taken the Human birth are saints. 
Every one is a saint. Every sinner is a saint. And most
of the saints have forgotten about their saint hood and
 the purpose of a human life.

It is amusing to see saints in a monastery in search of 
a monastery, and even more amusing is to see the wise
people creating distinctions between the world and the 
monastery.

People from the world want to go to a monastery and 
people in the monasteries want to go to the world. 
Where do you want to go?

No matter where you are, in the middle of New-York
spending your  life in a shoe box, or in some oriental
 monastery; it doesn't matter. 

If you don’t have the right teacher even the best 
monastery in the world is useless. It doesn't really
matter where you are heading -within included- in 
search for Spiritual Enlightenment or  Self realization
... without a personal teacher... you are not going to 
reach anywhere, you are not going to move even an 
inch closer to your true Self. You may get closer to
great books, intellect shattering quotes, arguments 
and thesis but in no case you will  be able to realise 
your true Self and attain Spiritual Enlightenment 
without the grace of a living Spiritually Enlightened 
Master.

This world is a monastery and every moment in this world,
no matter how challenging, demanding, must be lived in
great bliss, joy, happiness, peace and harmony....every bit 
of the 24 hours and even much much more...and you...
yeah you ... you can live it like this...always in bliss, always
in bliss.
