MTP™ Method
The MTP™ Method is an original therapeutic framework created by Dr. Maruti Sharma that integrates three disciplines: Meditation (awareness and presence), Trance (clinical hypnosis and altered states), and Psychotherapy Protocols (evidence-based psychological interventions). It operates on the principle that happiness is the ground state of human existence — obscured by conditioning rather than constitutionally absent.
Conventional therapy primarily works at the level of thought and behaviour. The MTP™ Method works simultaneously at three levels — the body (through trance and somatic awareness), the mind (through psychotherapy protocols), and consciousness (through meditation and presence practices). This three-axis approach addresses the root of conditioning rather than only its surface expressions.
Dr. Maruti Sharma holds a PhD in Vajrayana Buddhist Psychology. Rather than treating Buddhist psychology as a spiritual add-on, he uses it as a rigorous diagnostic and therapeutic framework. The Vajrayana understanding of mind, conditioning, and liberation maps directly onto clinical concepts of trauma, identity, and recovery — and in many respects goes deeper.
The MTP™ Method draws on evidence-based components — clinical hypnotherapy (supported by APA Division 30), mindfulness-based interventions (extensively researched), and established psychotherapy protocols. The integrated framework itself is Dr. Maruti Sharma's original clinical contribution, developed and refined over 25+ years of practice.
